ON a cold and rainy day, there’s nothing better than coming home to a hearty comfort meal. 

Luckily one thrifty mum how she makes her delicious sausage casserole - using her air fryer

Jen, known online as @airfry_jen, regularly shares air frying tips with her 105,000 followers. 

In one of her recent videos, the savvy cook shares her quick and easy recipe - and it takes just five minutes to prep. 

Her followers couldn’t believe what she'd managed to achieve without using a slow cooker. 

“After a dreadful day, I needed some feel-good food, Sausage Casserole cooked in the Air Fryer.”

During the 18-second video, Jen is seen putting a mix of mushrooms, peppers, and courgette in the bottom of her air-fryer. 

Over this, she places a metal rack and lays six sausages on top. She pops this in to cook on the air fry mode at 200 degrees for 15 minutes. 

Next, the savvy mum places the sausages and vegetables in a silicone liner, before adding hot water and a Colman’s Sausage Casserole sachet. 

She then puts this back in to cook on the roast mode at 190 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.

Jen then served the hearty meal with homemade mashed potatoes. 

Fans loved the quick and easy recipe, with the video gaining more than 800 likes and 59,000 views.
